We are looking for a full-time, permanent position in Milton Keynes, UK. Job Purpose: We are currently seeking a new team member to join us in Europe. In Sourcing, we support all Business Units of the DPDHL Group, delivering value through cost savings and beyond. We are looking for someone who can develop sourcing strategies, oversee sourcing activities on local, regional, and global levels, and collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and the procurement team. The role requires identifying and recommending 'best-in-class' solutions while maintaining strong relationships and continuous improvement. Your tasks:

• Lead and support local, regional as well as global initiatives and manage sourcing needs for global group wide initiatives with focus on Warehouse automation, robotics and equipment.
• Execute research and partner with business colleagues to identify strategic sourcing opportunities as well as development and management of suppliers, get deep understanding of the regional business as well as market and trends of the specific categories
• Build and maintain close relationship with key suppliers, internal business partners, stakeholders and key decision makers.
• Prepare and lead supplier negotiations and tenders and contract negotiation with local, regional and global suppliers
• Develop, implement and maintain Sourcing strategies for the Warehouse automation and equipment area considering the Innovation and Sustainability agenda of the group
• Manage and report risks, optimize the resilience of services sourcing in line with business needs, strategy, industry best practices, regulatory framework and current legislation
• Support value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfilment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Coach others in cross-functional teamwork and promote cross-functional collaborations
• Manage larger complexity of contracts and new contract types (e.g. with startups)
• Drive Innovation in the respective category to support business needs and use digitalized tools in the sourcing activities
Your profile:
• Relevant university degree and/or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical equipment sourcing experiences, ideally with industrial automation sourcing experiences, preferable in sourcing for a cross-regional footprint
• Proven experience in leading negotiations of mid/large volume, high impact and with different degrees of complexity
• Experiences in working with virtual teams on international level
• Excellent communication in English both written and spoken required, other language skills preferred
• Knowledge and proven experience of contract management, risk management, project management
