Full Job Description

Our 12 month undergraduate industry placement working in our Procurement team will enable you to gain in-depth insights and valuable experience to support you in your future career. During your 12 month placement, no two days will be the same. This exciting opportunity in our Procurement team, will enable you to work on various projects across the department dealing with our third party suppliers. You will work across the commercial Category Management process to purchase goods and services for Bupa. Working with some of our most critical suppliers you will have the opportunity to support the Supplier Relationship Management team. You will also work with the Procurement Operations team to delivery procurement projects to meet business objectives and deliver improvements to benefit Bupa. You'll face a well-balanced mix of challenges, support and accelerated skills development through our development programme. You'll have the opportunity to shadow senior colleagues exposing you to different perspectives, understanding more about our organisation and expanding your network. Whilst on placement you'll have opportunities to participate in activities with our other placement and graduate students which will enable you to share perspectives and experiences.   • Must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
  • Current undergraduate student in your penultimate year of your degree.
  • Skills and Knowledge
  • Enjoys building strong working relationships and working in a team to deliver an outcome.
  • Understanding and interest in working in a regulatory environment and the role of ethical and sustainable sourcing in a large organisation.
  • Interest in using data to report on and seek to improve, current processes.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective self-organisation and ability to plan ahead, to complete tasks to deadlines. Interested in driving own development.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with a pro-active to learning. Enjoys learning about new systems and processes.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail.
