Full Job Description
Pharmalex is one of the leading service companies for the Pharmaceutical Industry globally and is specialized in all aspects of drugs and medical devices approval, of the market development and any action of effective product maintenance. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for understanding customer needs and business objectives for their product(s) and to deliver a successful product through effective leadership of the development team ensuring they are in line with the Product Manager's roadmap. You will produce software with excellent user experience and high customer satisfaction. This is a permanent home based position within the UK, however, you will be required to work from our office in Colchester, Essex 1 day a month to attend face to face meetings as required. Your Job
- Developing new products and features in line with business plans and departmental needs.
- Identify problems encountered by the customer and bringing cross-functional teams together and establishing working groups to deliver high quality products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
- Work closely with development, engineering and other internal teams, to deliver consistently high-quality standard products, that align with the product vision and meet the identified market needs.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Business Partner, UX Team and other stakeholders.
- Manage scope to timescales and budget.
- Representing our users in all our digital product decisions.
- Collecting, managing and prioritizing product features and requirements from all stakeholders across the business and externally according to business value.
- Leading virtual product teams to ensure delivery of agreed features, requirements, and product releases.
- Defining the user journey to help clarify how the product is intended to be used.
- Maintain a concise, prioritised and clear backlog of User Stories and Bugs, balancing the needs of the business alongside technical debt, security and other priorities.
- Organise ongoing sprint demo sessions to solicit and collect feedback from stakeholders.
- Produce testable User Stories meeting the definition of ready for the development team that are deliver value within a single sprint and align with the solution objectives.
- Support the team to produce a software release which adds business value in alignment with the teams Release and Sprint cadence.
- Ensure well documented, testable non-functional requirements.
- Ensure requirements consider system configuration options and define appropriate defaults.
- Ensure requirements consider application security and align to the development process and regulatory/compliance guidelines.
Communication is key for this role, coupled with the ability to excite and enthuse stakeholders. You will also need a strong mix of technical and soft skills to drive technical brilliance and strong collaboration across multiple teams. - Experience of performing requirements analysis and writing specification documents to deliver customer outcomes.
- Experience delivering products using agile development methodology techniques, working directly with developers / technical teams.
- Data driven focus and experience of interpreting data and translating it into stories and using it to drive product strategy.
- A deep understanding of product specific market personas and their challenges.
- Strong across execution, highly analytical, data-driven, drive decisions and can create experiences that customers love.
- Experience defining user journeys and stories and setting good quality story standards.
- Self-motivated with a relentless drive and passion to make improvements and achieve results.
- English language fluency.
- Experience working with eTMFs, Pharmacovigilance and/or Regulatory Affairs tooling is preferred but not essential. Technical skills:
- Requirements analysis (ideally including SaaS & Managed Service Products).
- Agile SCRUM.
- Use of JIRA.
- Ability to write BDD and understanding of Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Ability to derive and document non-functional requirements.
- Able to convey technical and non-technical ideas and concepts to varied audiences.
- Backlog management and refinement.
- Understanding of SDLC processes.
- Understanding of UX and product design.
