Full Job Description
To lead the site in maintaining inventory accuracy of raw materials, semi-finished products, moulding finished products and packaging. This role reports directly to the production manager and requires working with many people across the organisation, including production, warehousing, supply chain and QA, with an especially strong connection to finance. The inventory controller must be able to carry out stock takes and accuracy checks of the relevant storage locations, report and communicate findings to the business and analyze this data to aid in the investigation and elimination of inaccuracies. They must also be able to carry out the necessary corrections in SAP and act as an expert who can support production with certain stock related transaction and processes. Main Responsibilties
- Maintain inventory accuracy of raw materials, semi-finished products, moulding finished products and packaging on site.
- Lead the physical raw materials stock take.
- Prior to stock take, ensure all process orders are completed and balanced, and downgrades are executed.
- Post stock take, investigate variances, recount if necessary.
- Provide reports on accuracy of stock take.
- Carry out stock corrections/stock movements in SAP, when required.
- Regularly check accuracy of the following storage locations: GB02, GB04, GB34, GB35, GB3A-D, GB38, GRTP
- Analyze data of stock inaccuracies and look for patterns and trends. Assist in RCA's when required.
- Back up for physical liquid stock take and storage location GB31
- Enter in-line waste into SAP (monthly)
- Order solid rework to site
- Understand how to consume RW005 rework in SAP and be back up for this process.
- COOISPI super user and be able to provide support to operations with use of these transactions, when required.
- Participate in stock review meetings.
- Lead / Liaise with any stock accuracy continuous improvement projects
- Strive to reach accuracy objectives for inventory
- Coordinate all inventory activities with warehouse, purchasing, production, and quality departments.
- Ensure sure all the approved non-food waste (scrap) is disposed in timely manner
- Create sales orders for the waste disposal.
Two to four years of experience preferably in a manufacturing warehouse. - Computer skills including SAP knowledge, Word, Excel, and Windows Environment.
- Ability to make decisions and work well in a stressful environment.
- Must be comfortable sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
