To assist in controlling a number of lines and staff to ensure that products are packed, either by machine or by hand, to Norgine quality specifications and performance standards whilst complying with all relevant Company policies and procedures. In order to qualify for Grade 3 packer the individual must be able to demonstrate the above. You must be flexible to changing shift across the 4 shift pattern and an EA or Stick Pack Qualified Line Runner. • To ensure products are packed to acceptable quality standards by ensuring that:
• The special packing instructions on the front page of packing job cards are read and understood by all team members before packing starts
• Packs produced are inspected as required to ensure acceptable quality standards are being maintained
• Carry out in process control checks as specified
• Where indicated by a process control result, make adjustments to controls in line with standard operating procedures
• The correct outer labels have been obtained from the Weighfringe Label system
• Overprinting tapes and/or digits have been changed correctly
• The correct outers are identified and used
• All packs produced contain all required parts in the correct quantity
• Use PC control panels correctly (HM)
• Complete batch documentation correctly and on time such that it is more than 95% correct before being passed to a Team Leader
• To use the EI system to get Pharmacodes, check ''lot availability'' and ''suppliers lot numbers''
• Keep daily log of line activities
• Carry out first pack checks
• To ensure products are packed at the standard rate by ensuring that:
• Team members individual working speed is fast enough to maintain standard line outputs
• Packaging levels on machines are maintained
• Laminates / label reels are changed within standard times
• Ensure monitoring sheets are completed accurately and on time
Health & Safety. To operate in a safe manner with due regard to own safety and that of others within the white area. Quality. A sound of knowledge of GMP and Pharmacovigilance principles. To comply will all company policies and procedures. Maintain high standards of personal appearance, hygiene and behaviour. Delivery. To maintain high standards of 5S within the department. To maintain their individual Training records to ensure the required compliance standards. Cost. To help and assist the company in its drive to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. Actively take part in any efficiency improvement work.
