Job Summary - Purpose of Role
The role is responsible for optimising financial processes and enhancing efficiency within the Controllership team based in Bradford
Responsibilities & Duties
Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows
Develop and implement standardised procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
Research and upskill in new technologies that can be used to improve processes, such as Alteryx
Train and support finance team members in adopting new processes and technologies
Support finance projects where required to ensure opportunities for improvement are maximised
Help embed a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team
Qualifications & Skills
Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or finalist would be considered
Strong financial accounting background
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong communication and presentation skills
Well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment
Minimum 2 years SAP experience
Success Measures
Able to demonstrate improvements to processes that have achieved measurable efficiency, effectiveness or compliance benefits
Enhanced utilisation of new technologies within the team
Adoption of new processes and input into their development from the team
Key Stakeholders
Controllership management team
SAP functional team
AP Managers where processes overlap with AP
