Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Changing Realities research team working with Ruth Patrick and colleagues in the School for Business and Society. You will be a key part of a participatory online programme documenting life on a low-income during the cost of living crisis and pushing for change. The post is to provide project management support, and to manage and develop systems for ensuring the effective and timely delivery of a high-profile and high-impact programme of research.
Role
The main purpose of the role is to support the project team to keep to a busy programme of deliverables; and to develop processes to support and facilitate effective collaborative working.
The role is for an experienced and highly-motivated project manager who will work closely with Ruth Patrick and the whole project team to establish effective ways of collaborative working, and to ensure that the project is a success. The successful candidate will develop and oversee project management and reporting tools, including for impact monitoring, and will lead on the project's social media presence. They will be a core member of the project team, and will have opportunities to travel within the UK as part of the role.
This role is part-time (0.8) and is a fixed term appointment for 12 months.
+ Experiences of project management, ideally within a university setting
+ Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
+ A willingness to manage one own's workload and to work independently and pro-actively to problem solve.
+ A great collaborator, who enjoys working in a large team.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Consequently, all applicants will be asked to declare both unspent and spent convictions on their application form.
Appointment of the successful candidate will be conditional on a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
