Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst to join the team based at our Head Office in Liverpool, UK. We are seeking an experienced Market Intelligence Analyst with a strong understanding of market trends and strategic analysis within the commodities sector, particularly in battery materials. This role is not a data analyst position but requires a comprehensive evaluation of market dynamics to provide actionable insights. Important Note: Candidates with a background primarily in data analysis are encouraged to review this job description carefully. This position requires expertise in market analysis and strategy rather than data-centric analytics. This is a hands-on role in the business, you will develop and deliver quantitative and qualitative market intelligence as well as competitor insights. The key areas of focus will align with the company's major business areas; UK/Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific. Being creative in what to look for, who to talk to, and where to go to find information is also essential. The ability to self-start, build relationships, and develop processes and outputs from initial concept to ultimate delivery is a big part of the role.,

• At least 2-5 years experience in a similar role is essential.
• Demonstrate stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of the commodities industry is desirable, in particular battery materials.
• Travel to operation sites of AHK around the world or local offices might be required on an ad-hoc basis.
• High level of skill in Google suite/Microsoft office is essential.
• Experience of PowerBI for data visualisation is desirable., Master's / Bachelor's Degree with a specialisation in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, commerce and/or data science is preferred.
• Strong English language verbal and written skills are essential. Command of a second language although not required is highly desirable
