Full Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced P6 Planner to join our Project Controls team, supporting a portfolio of infrastructure and utility programmes for private sector clients, including major water companies. We have opportunities in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria, Merseyside and Cheshire. Role Responsibilities:
- Development, maintenance, and optimisation of detailed P6 schedules across project lifecycles.
- Constructing programmes from first principles with clarity in logic, sequencing, and resource profiles.
- Conducting schedule assurance reviews, progress updates, variance analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Integrating inputs across design, civils, M&E, and commissioning teams to ensure delivery alignment.
- Supporting schedule-based performance reporting and trend analysis using project controls best practice.
- Contributing to planning governance and consistency across the portfolio.
You are a highly proficient Primavera P6 user with demonstrable experience planning and scheduling complex infrastructure projects-particularly in the water and utilities sectors. You understand how projects are scoped, designed, constructed, and commissioned, and can translate this into robust, logic-driven programmes. - Expertise in Primavera P6 and a deep understanding of infrastructure delivery in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with cost/schedule integration, change control, and schedule risk techniques (e.g., QSRA).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex planning insights effectively.
- A flexible, delivery-focused mindset and commitment to accurate, data-driven decision-making.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
