Full Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the commercial success of our projects by driving cost efficiency, maintaining compliance, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your expertise in cost management, risk analysis, and contract compliance will be key in supporting the successful delivery of billable works. What You'll Do You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and sustainability policies, while proactively managing financial and contractual obligations. Collaborating with internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, you will facilitate seamless project execution by providing cost advice, reviewing contracts, and supporting risk management initiatives. Your keen eye for detail will ensure all necessary documentation, reports, and financial records are accurately maintained. In this role, you will liaise closely with site teams, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and end users, ensuring everyone is aligned with the project's objectives. You will also play a crucial part in negotiation and dispute resolution, ensuring commercial agreements are upheld while securing value for money. Additionally, you will work closely with the supply chain, monitoring performance and ensuring financial targets are met. Your commercial acumen will be essential in managing supplier payments, contract variations, and tender processes, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and according to contract requirements. You will also support business improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains while promoting sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint across the MOD estate. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. You should have experience in construction, property maintenance, or facilities management, with a proven track record in cost modeling, dispute resolution, and commercial risk management. To be considered for this role, you must be a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor, and due to vetting requirements for site, we are only able to accept applications from British Nationals. If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role where your expertise will drive success and shape the future of our projects, we'd love to hear from you! What We Offer:
- Company car/car allowance
- Single private medical cover
- 25 days annual leave
- 6% employee matched pension contribution
- Life assurance 2 x annual salary
