The Technical Officer (Mechanical) will provide professional and technical knowledge and experience contributing to the successful delivery of the University's estate and campus services, ensuring a well maintained and safe built environment for the University community.

Reporting to a Senior Technical Officer, the post holder will be expected to deputise the role of Senior Technical Officer as required. You will provide professional and mechanical technical support to assist in the delivery of the University's Technical Services including planned and reactive maintenance of building services and wider campus infrastructure. Working closely with colleagues across Estates and Campus Services on energy and water efficiency & decarbonisation funding and implementation projects. The successful candidate will ensure campus infrastructure, buildings, plant and equipment are energy/water efficient, cost effective and fully support University strategic net zero objectives.

You will also possess an ability to manage works and strong communication skills with the ability to summarise technical detail to colleagues. You are equally comfortable working alone as you are as part of a team.
