Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Quantity Surveyor from a house building or main contracting background to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the financial management and commercial success of our construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.,
- Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function for construction projects, from inception to completion.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct cost analysis and prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify areas for cost savings.
- Assess and value variations, change orders, and interim payments.
- Manage risk assessments and contractual disputes.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on project finances and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry specifically from House building or main contracting. - Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel and industry-specific tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable but not essential.
