Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Emerson as a Flame & Gas Business Development Manager. The successful person will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients. This role focuses on expanding on-site presence and exceeding sales targets through strategic relationship building, collaboratively working with sales teams and effective promotion of our comprehensive product and solutions portfolio., Sales Targets and Forecasting
- Own and deliver the UK budget for Flame & Gas product lines.
- Lead strategic opportunities within the UK&I market, increasing the Flame & Gas portfolio market share with targeted competitor displacement.
- Forecast and maintain opportunity funnel, utilising business planning tools Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximise customer value and share knowledge and build sales team relationships to ensure complete account coverage.
- Drive account plans with sales teams identifying whitespace opportunities and new accounts to acquire. Market and Sales Strategy Execution
- Maintain a solid understanding of product lines within sales teams, market trends and competitor knowledge, understanding customers, market drivers and needs
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing sharing how to position Flame & Gas effectively in the market place, whilst supporting execution & delivery of targeted marketing campaigns for the UK&I market Customer Engagement
- Support the direct sales team with customer meetings, owning and winning strategic opportunities
- Lead technical conversations to provide expert knowledge, solving customer needs
- Build effective customer relationships to become the trusted advisor
- Utilise territory management skills to maximise effectiveness and customer facing selling activities
Demonstrated consultative approach to selling - Proven track record of winning new business and account management, establishing long term relationships
- Ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer pains
- Ability to travel in order to fulfil duties when required is essential (50-70%), Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Experience with Flame & Gas products/ solutions is advantageous
- Experience of developing successful internal relationships within a matrix organisation
