This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Study Manger to join a thriving community of researchers dedicated to better understanding musculoskeletal diseases that affect people at all stages of their life, and to develop and assess current and new interventions designed to improve the quality of life of patients, their families and carers. You will be based at the Botnar Research Centre and will work closely with patient research partners, psychologists, statisticians, epidemiologists, machine-learning and AI experts, and clinicians of diverse specialties.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day running of research projects, including ethics applications, adherence to protocols and timelines. You will lead in study related matters including data queries and organisation of source files, monitoring procedures and providing guidance and expertise on the study protocol as required. In this position you will ensure all study documentation is accurate and in place, maintaining trial master files and site files for research studies, ensuring annual reporting to ethics committees and drafting and implementing ethical amendments where necessary.

You will hold a degree in a biomedical or associated subject, or other relevant qualification, or proven experience in clinically related research. You will have an understanding of research methodology and will have experience of ethical approvals for clinical studies or studies using human tissue. Additionally, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in interdisciplinary teams.
Previous experience as a project manager/coordinator and the ability to contribute ideas for new research projects and research grants is desirable.
