Location: Chester
Salary: Up to A£26,000 with additional on-call allowance
Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Co-Ordinator to join a reputable healthcare provider, supporting the delivery of high-quality care to those in need. This is a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the service, assisting with all aspects of care management and ensuring the smooth running of care provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager with the overall care management and day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to business growth, focusing on service development and maintaining quality.
- Actively promote and help expand care services, identifying new business opportunities.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and support of Care Workers, following company procedures.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records related to Care Workers and Service Users in line with data protection regulations.
- Produce and manage weekly care worker rotas, ensuring all calls are covered.
- Resolve any issues between Care Workers and Service Users efficiently and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with office staff, Service Users, Care Workers, and social workers.
- Assist with on-call duties, including weekends, weekday nights, and bank holidays.
- Step in to support the Registered Manager during their absence and undertake additional duties as required.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:
o Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
o A caring, empathetic approach with a genuine passion for providing high-quality care.
o Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Ability to work well within a team and use initiative when required.
o Sound understanding of community care legislation and the ability to deal with complex cases.
o Capable of managing emergencies and problem-solving effectively.
o Basic computer literacy and strong organisational skills.
o NVQ Level 2/3 in Care or equivalent.
o Car driver with access to a vehicle (if required for the role).
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with on-call duties required during weekends, weekdays nights, and bank holidays.
