0801 Team Member (Qualified)

As part of this ambition, we are responsible for managing and maintaining the outside environment to ensure North Tyneside is a great place to live work and visit. An exciting opportunity has arisen within Environmental Services to join our grounds maintenance team. We would like to hear from enthusiastic people who are solution focused and committed to learn and develop. The successful applicant will work alongside existing Team Members providing direction and instruction on the completion of various tasks such as landscaping, planting, grass cutting and pruning.

You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication and customer care skills. You will be involved in a wide range of duties; therefore, you must be able to prioritise tasks, work to tight deadlines, and be confident in relaying instructions to team members from The Team Leader. It would be advantageous but not essential to have experience in or hold qualifications in the following:

• Sports pitch line marking
• Tractor driving & implements
• Floral bedding displays
• PA1 / PA6 pesticide licence
• Chainsaw qualification
• HGV/LGV
• CPC driver's card
• Competent in the use of horticultural equipment including ride-on mowers.
