Full Job Description

You will be joining an experienced and successful team responsible for maintaining North Tyneside Parks on a day-to-day basis, in accordance with recognised horticultural standards and Green Flag Award best practice.

The post will require you to work in all outdoor weather conditions whilst carrying out significant manual tasks. You will need to demonstrate that you are able to meet the physical demands of the post, which includes carrying out manual tasks throughout the day and operating various equipment and machinery.

The post holder should have excellent communication skills as they will be required to engage with park users and the local community. You will need to be able to work independently and use your own initiative to provide benefit for all users of the park. You will work proactively with all members of the wider team including external agencies.

As an integral member of the Parks and Horticulture team, you will help us ensure North Tyneside is a great place to live, work and visit.
