0843 Senior Accountant (Treasury Management Officer)

North Tyneside's Finance team is seeking an enthusiastic, professional and dynamic Treasury Management Officer to help the team deliver its Service objectives.

North Tyneside is a well-run Council with a track record of delivering good-quality services while managing to balance the budget. The challenge for the future will be to continue to do so despite reduced government funding and increasing demands.

We are seeking to recruit, for maternity cover, an experienced part qualified/qualified accountant who will report to the Principal Accountant, Investment (Capital) and Revenue.

You will have a good understanding of the requirements of Treasury Management, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Experience should include a robust understanding of local government finance, experience of dealing with customers and experience of projects. A good understanding of the issues facing local government is essential.
