Full Job Description

For this 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant the primary focus will be providing 1:1 support to pupils with a range of behavioural needs including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and other behavioural challenges. The Behaviour Support Assistant role will also involve supporting small groups and assisting in classroom settings., + Provide 1:1 support to students with behavioural needs in various educational settings.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of individualized behaviour support plans.
+ Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other educational staff to support students learning and behavioural development.
+ Monitor and record students' progress and provide regular feedback to parents and staff.
+ Support small groups of students as needed to enhance learning and behavioural outcomes.
+ Utilize a range of strategies and interventions to manage and improve student behaviour.
+ Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
+ Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
SEN 2

You will be able to build a strong rapport with pupils and if required able to successfully de-escalate behaviour difficulties. Class sizes are small, typically up to 6 pupils.
+ You can show on your CV clearly that you have supported children in some capacity, ie as either a Behaviour Support Assistant or SEN TA / LSA/ Child Support Assistant / Child Residential Support or Youth Worker etc
+ Experience working with children and young people with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, and other behavioural challenges.
+ You live in easy commutable distance to the London borough of Greenwich.
+ Enhanced DBS on the update service.
+ Proven ability to provide effective 1:1 support and manage small groups.
+ Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and interventions.
+ Ability to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with challenging behaviours.
