Full Job Description
Valley Invicta Academies Trust requires an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at our primary school in Holborough Lakes on a temporary duration. This role is to support children with high needs on a 1:1 basis.
You will be required to work 20 hours per week (over 5 days) for 38 weeks per year.
The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet; working both independently and as part of the team, who is looking for a role that could grow and develop over time through excellent professional development.
The main purpose of this role is to
+ Provide learning and care support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
+ Work with the teacher to plan and deliver activities
+ Support pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management
You would need to be calm and kind, able to take initiative and work flexibly.
The role is suited to someone who is creative and is able to build on the excellent practice already in place when supporting pupils with SEND and enable them to achieve their potential and work as independently as possible across the curriculum.
This contract will be temporary for the duration of the High Needs Funding.
