Full Job Description

The role will be responsible for the provision of commercial finance support and business partnering various teams within the Marketing division within Consumer which has an overall operating expenditure of c£300 per annum.

The role will provide financial business partnering to the Consumer Marketing team to ensure that expenditure is within budget. Seek to drive and challenge the Marketing organisation to drive opportunities to lower spend and ensure sound financial decisions are made in relation to Opex spend to support Consumer strategic KPIs

Provide regular outlooks to Marketing and Finance leadership to ensure any risks and opportunities are identified early - and drive the Marketing organisation to mitigate any areas of overspend

Support Marketing Finance in preparing business cases for launch of new propositions to ensure suitable opex is forecast

Lead and manage a team to effectively partner with Marketing, to ensure spend of within budget, and outlooks (incl 5 year plan) along with reasons for deviation to plans are highlighted and present options for mitigations and further savings

Drive an agenda of cost efficiency and transformation within Marketing

  • Influencing; Proven ability to influence and to build key relationships with appropriate business partners

  • Business acumen: Knowledgeable in drivers of organisational performance (e.g. business KPIs, business cases) and experience of business case creation and evalutation

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE
