15 hours flexible caring work - Home Carer for 69 year old woman with physical disability

We are looking for someone to join us on a part time basis to help look after Katie who is 69 year old woman, (former doctor) semi paralysed following brain haemorrhage in 1991, since then we have relied on private carers to work with Katie in her home.

Katie is now confined to wheel chair, in her fully equipped house. Katie retains all her mental abilities but has poor(ish) short term memory.

Duties include bathing, dressing, help with transfers to wheelchairs, assisting downstairs on stair lift, preparing lunch, local shopping, washing clothes, ironing, keeping the house clean..general household management and companionship.

We are looking for someone to work flexibly with us - potentially afternoons, evenings and some morning shifts as holiday cover. Offering up to 15 hours a week.

£15 an hour (Employee status)
Occasional evenings/ night shifts possible if you'd like them - not expected
Location Saltaire-off Moorhead Lane.

Person spec.
Essential: Trustworthy responsible reliable adult with good sense of humour.
Physically able to assist with transfers.
Desirable -Car driver and able to cook simple meals
