This is a role for a suitably experienced property professional to support the management of the EET department’s land and property portfolio (South region) to ensure the value and performance of the property assets in achieving wider property programme objectives are maximised., This is a role for a suitably experienced property professional to support the management of the EET department’s land and property portfolio (South region) to ensure the value and performance of the property assets in achieving wider property programme objectives are maximised.

Person specification
+ Contribute to the day-to-day management of the Department's land and property asset portfolio.
+ Working to the South West Property Surveyor and South Wales Regional Team leader, to independently manage a discrete caseload of south Wales landlord and tenant relationship issues, negotiation of leases, tenancies and contracts and property disposals, in a compliant manner and instruct internal legal advisors to achieve timely completion.
+ Liaise with internal and external professionals, clients and legal advisers.
+ Manage existing facilities management contracts/arrangements in a timely and compliant manner to ensure, in particular, statutory health and safety compliance.
+ Collate property information and present it in a suitable format.
+ Undertake budgetary and financial management competently.
+ With support from the Property Surveyor, undertake property negotiations, instruct lawyers and prepare contracts, in accordance with relevant and up to date land and property legislation.
+ Prepare accurate and clearly written reports for submission to the Property Leadership Team to consider regarding property transactions.
+ Deal with FOI requests in a timely and competent manner.
+ Draft submissions and briefings to Ministers and replies to Ministerial correspondence and Welsh Government questions., This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.

Technical skills
We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:
+ Practical and working knowledge of relevant property and contract law with particular emphasis on Landlord and Tenant legislation.
