Full Job Description

The NCC Project Coordinator has the knowledge and skills that provide necessary support to NCC IT systems and processes. This includes coaching new and existing colleagues in use of the system and providing technical expertise to ensure the systems are effective and perform to an agreed standard across all of the college. The role includes providing reports from the systems to monitor performance. The role also includes holding some hardware that can support the immediate business disruption to curriculum delivery that may occur on a day to day to basis. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1. To be the super user for IT systems used by NCC so that a coaching and mentoring function is provided to new and existing colleagues. 2. Ensure that a range of hardware is held and managed in order to support curriculum delivery related to IT which develops as an immediate issue affecting the Colleges ability to deliver the curriculum. 3. To be proficient in the use of all IT systems used by the college providing development guidance on its use and developing reporting functions to enable the college to monitor performance. 4. Work with the NCC Admin Manager to develop proposed IT systems / Software for use by the college including implementation, training / coaching / reporting and performance measurement. 5. To ensure they remain competent in the systems used by the College by updating through CPD and training. 6. Work with Outsourcing partners to resolve college IT issues.

  • Excellent Computer operating skills with experience of a broad range of systems used in a training environment
  • Experience of working within a training or college environment
  • Clear, confident, and persuasive communicator
  • Knowledge of training related qualifications certification and accreditation schemes
  • Ability to create reporting functions from IT systems
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of construction training
  • Teaching and /or coaching Training and experience.
  • Project Management training and experience
  • Formal IT training or qualifications
  • Software systems training or qualifications
  • Special Conditions/Other Requirements: Able to travel to and make occasional overnight stops usually one or two days a month. DBS/PVG CITB is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people. Candidates must be willing to undergo the requisite pre-employment vetting checks and procedures, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
