An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Digital Strategy, Programme and Inclusion team., As a project manager you will work within the Project Management Office (PMO) and have responsibility for leading and managing projects, through the PMO process and digital governance., Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer. If you have extensive experience in leading and managing significant software implementation and digital transformation projects, we would like to hear from you., We currently have an ambitious digital programme of work, including core system replacements, and you will be required to work on multiple projects at any one time. If you are customer focused with strong leadership, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with an enthusiasm to put customers at the heart of what we do, then we would like to hear from you., You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline and ideally have a Project Management qualification. You should have significant experience of managing multiple complex projects through the end-to-end process, and leading on large scale digital transformation. You will also have experience of managing both capital and revenue budgets. This is a cross functional role in the Authority therefore strong communication and relationship building skills with service stakeholders are essential. The environment is fast paced and you will need to be a passionate and energetic individual with a proactive approach who can multi-task and work well under pressure. You will be leading and managing a wide range of projects, both large and small, as well as managing tasks as briefed. You will act as an interface for the service providing professional advice on all aspects of the projects, ensuring efficiency whilst building great relationships.
