Full Job Description

The CRB Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a two-year program that provides the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base, varied skills and diverse network. This program is designed to set you up with a holistic view of CRB with hands on experience, insight and opportunities to make an impact and shape your own career. The program provides the opportunity for graduates to work hands on with senior leadership alongside client facing exposures from accounts ranging in the Fortune 500 sector to smaller market local business areas.

We serve a diverse range of client sectors such as Cyber, Financial Institutions, Marine and Construction. For a full list of industries our colleagues work with click here.

The programme is comprised of opportunities across areas of Corporate Risk and Broking. Throughout, you will build a technical foundation of knowledge and exposure to our clients through meaningful work assignments and projects. The types of roles you may experience are:

Broking - As the intermediary in the insurance transaction, the role of a broker is multi-faceted with the dual responsibility of ensuring the client's needs are satisfied, whilst also building strong relationships with the markets that you use to place your client's risks.

Client Servicing - As the first point of contact for your clients in all aspects of their insurance programme, any claims, wording, coverage or industry news related queries are directed to you, so these are made a priority every day

Analytics - Work within analytics is predominantly project-based but the context and scope of projects can vary widely. Most of the day is spent on analysing and manipulating data but can also involve the production of reports to present the output.

Strategy - There isn't a typical day in a strategic role and you are often pulled in several different directions by multiple stakeholders. For example time can be spent working on the production of materials to support decision-making, preparing business plans or analysing data to identify trends.

Business Development - Within business development, days are spent undertaking a variety of tasks to support and track the development of new business. Creativity and thinking outside the box is important when producing materials which can be used for marketing or more specific client proposals

Projects - A day within a projects team can vary but demands strong organisation and stakeholder management skills. Having a methodical approach will be helpful when formulating solutions to complex problems and identifying the right expertise and resources to aid project management and completion.

This Graduate Programme is supported by the Level 6 Senior Insurance Professional Apprenticeship Programme, which is a 36-39 month programme where you will be provided on the job training and a highly competitive study support package for the CII qualification - Advanced Diploma in Insurance. You will be fully supported by WTW and our official government approved Training Provider throughout the duration of the programme.
