What is the opportunity? The 24 month programme is for graduates wanting to specialise as Cost Managers. We will support you in gaining the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) via the Quantity Surveying and Construction pathway through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). You'll work within our Project & Cost Management department and have opportunities to rotate across our Occupier and Investor & Developer cost management teams to gain a variety of experience across different projects and varying sectors. Birmingham - This location will lead you to become a fully qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor (member of the RICS). London - This location will lead you to become a fully qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor (member of the RICS). What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects.
  • Preparing and analyzing tender documents and contracts.
  • Conducting on-site measurements and quantity take-offs.
  • Assisting with project cost control and monitoring.
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of progress reports and valuations.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis.
  • Assisting with dispute resolution and claims management.
  • Keeping up to date with industry regulations and standards.
  • Continuously enhancing technical and professional skills.

    Cognate students will need a RICS accredited degree or a RICS accredited masters conversion course (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum) preferably in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Non-Cognate students from any degree discipline are welcome to apply (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum).
  • A forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for real estate & the built-environment.
  • Self-motivated with a talent for verbal and written communication.
  • A good team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • The successful candidate must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK.
