Full Job Description

We are seeking an inspirational Second in Charge in MFL to work in our dynamic and creative MFL Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a colleague wishing to lead the development of the Spanish curriculum across the three Key Stages.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead the quality of education in Spanish. The Second in Charge of MFL will be responsible for overseeing curriculum development, teaching staff management, and the delivery of high quality Spanish teaching across the department. This role includes both teaching and leadership responsibilities and would suit a dedicated professional who has at least two years teaching experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach Spanish to A-Level standard, with an ability to teach French to at least KS3, and will contribute substantially to the continual cycle of refinement across all year groups. You will be a dynamic, committed professional who strives for all pupils to do their very best. You will have exemplary core skills of literacy and numeracy and you will create exciting lessons across the age ranges that lead pupils to want to know more.

As part of Seven Kings Teaching School Alliance, Wanstead is able to provide a wide variety of CPD opportunities for staff at all stages of their career, both within Wanstead and the Teaching School Alliance. The post offers an excellent opportunity for the right person to develop their career within an exciting and supportive department and school.
