The 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to end users across the ASM and CGC estates in the UK. This role will work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the network infrastructure, addressing escalated technical issues and minimizing downtime. The individual will also collaborate with venue technical teams to offer essential support for live events and related activities., You will work hard at ASM, but you will be rewarded with lots of time to relax and rest with 25 days annual leave.   • Provide technical support for end users across all ASM and CGC venues in the UK, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Assist IT teams in our European venues as needed, offering remote or on-site support.
  • Ensure that all IT requirements for events at the venues are met, providing operational support during live events.
  • Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and end-user systems.
  • Provide remote monitoring and on-site support as required, ensuring the stability and security of systems.
  • Offer support for EPOS, ticketing, and telephone system applications across the estate.
  • IT Projects: Support various IT projects, upgrades, and change programs, working collaboratively with the wider IT team.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Security & Antivirus Management: Oversee the management of spam filters, anti-virus systems, and general IT security measures.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as necessary.

    Strong ability to analyse technical issues and effectively organise tasks and resources.
  • Experience in IT, preferably in a commercial environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of core Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
  • Working knowledge of managing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi in a commercial setting.
  • Experience in network setup, including VLANs and related technologies.
  • Understanding and experience of network security practices.
