Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit nearly 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility. Soon follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.. We are looking for 4x Production Logistics Operatives to join our Logistics & Warehouse team at Goole. You 'll make a difference by ....

  • Being key member of a specialist team responsible for the safe movement of all material movements around the site and within the production and assembly halls.
  • Utilising a variety of standard and specialist MHE you will ensure the safety of your team and those working around your activities whilst supporting production activity.
  • Working in advance of the production schedule, you will work as a team to safely solve issues, escalating problems as necessary.

    Proven track record of prioritising safety in operational environments
  • Experience of working within an industrial or supply chain setting in a similar role
  • Experience of using and solid understanding of different types of MHE, their uses and limitations.
  • An understanding of supporting a production schedule.
  • It would also be helpful to have the following:
  • Experience of working with heavy machinery, such as cranes or shunting vehicles.
  • SAP or Similar WMS experience.
  • Experience using a variety of automated stock management tools.
