Full Job Description

The IT Service Continuity (ITSC) Manager supports the delivery of IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) for the services which The Digital and Technology Service (DTS) are responsible for. They provide assurance activity for those consumed by HMCTS. They're responsible for the development and maintenance of the ICT Service Continuity strategy and processes, while supporting teams and functions develop their plans and procedures.

The role holder will support the IT Continuity & Assurance Lead in the definition, implementation and measurement of service continuity processes and procedures. Including the conducting of testing, development of risk assessments and processes. They will also be the key IT engagement and collaboration conduit into the Corporate Business Continuity team and the other Business Continuity Teams within the Ministry. They will ensure that the Service Operations Business Area Continuity Plans are kept up to date, relevant, and aligned to wider business need.

The role holder will provide support and guidance to Product and Service Owners and their respective teams in developing and testing their IT Service Continuity Plans and procedures.

They will be responsible for reviewing new services transitioning into DTS, ensuring they conform to consistent and best practice processes and guidance around IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery, and provide guidance on best practice in the field. They will also be responsible for supporting the evaluation process for contracts as required that encompass a Service Continuity or Disaster Recovery (DR) Element.

The role holder will be required to be able to work well under pressure,
autonomously, and on occasion working out of usual office hours to support ITSC/DR Testing.
