An exciting opportunity has arisen within Academic Collaboration, and we are seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive individual to the role of Academic Collaboration Manager. The Team Academic Collaboration is responsible for the quality assurance and oversight of collaborative provision, academic partnerships, and apprenticeships across the University. The Team works closely alongside the Academy and a wide range of Professional Services colleagues to deliver key University quality processes including:
- Approval and ongoing review of collaborative partners.
- Management of programme approval, review and amendment procedures for collaborative and apprenticeship provision.
- Approval and review of articulations and off-site delivery arrangements.
- Management of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) approvals and monitoring of ongoing compliance.
- Ensuring that the requirements of external quality and standards bodies such as the Office for Students and Ofsted are addressed. The Role The post-holder will be required to work across the range of partnership activity but will primarily support work related to Ofsted compliance. They will work closely with the Apprenticeships Unit and Faculty colleagues with provision in scope of the Ofsted FE and Skills Inspection Framework. They will be responsible for supporting institutional compliance with the Inspection Framework, including establishing robust evidence-collection systems. They will work closely with colleagues to undergo regular monitoring of the evidence to highlight areas of good practice as well as any areas of non-compliance. They will be required to analyse, interpret and report on complex information relating to the role in a user-friendly way ensuring it is appropriate for its audience, whether that be for external organisations, senior/executive staff, academic or professional service colleagues or students. They will manage and oversee the University's processes and policies for the management of quality assurance and academic standards of the University's partnerships. They will act as a point of liaison for senior academic and Professional Services stakeholders regarding queries or issues with the quality assurance and academic standards of the provision supported by the team. They will work independently to manage projects and major pieces of work in relation to the provision supported by the team.
