Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, monitoring and assessing the provision of Academic programmes of study, to the Apprentices and the KS4 players at the Academy, in conjunction with the Club's Academy Performance Plan (APP) and The Elite Player Performance Programme (EPPP) requirements.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To plan deliver, assess and report on the BTEC Sporting Excellence Performance qualification for the Academy scholars and relevant U21 players.

  • To plan deliver and assess the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship programme to the Academy Scholars and relevant U21 players.

  • To collaborate with the Player Wellbeing Manager to plan deliver and assess the scholars Life Skills Programme.

  • To prepare the Academy Scholars and relevant U21 players for their Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA).

  • Monitor, support and set intervention plans supporting the Academic progress of the U15 and U16 cohorts.

  • To produce academic reports for the U15, U16, scholars and relevant U21 players on a termly basis.

  • To support the coaching team with the 12 week reviews, with the

  • production of an academic review.
  • To produce all schemes of work and lesson plans for any academic programme you are associated with.

  • To contribute to the end of year academic reviews.

  • To take an active role in the Club's inspections and audits.

  • To have responsibility for the development of resources, educational aids and the learning environment at the Academy.

  • To attend all academic meetings with the Premier League (PL)

  • and the League Football Education (LFE) with the Education Manager as appropriate.
  • To liaise with all appropriate multi-disciplinary Team staff, in relation to the above listed responsibilities.

  • To undertake the appropriate amount of CPD per Academic year.

  • To act in a manner that supports the Club's Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
