Full Job Description

The Courtauld is looking to recruit an Accommodation Manager to join our small Estates and Facilities team to be responsible for managing student accommodation which will include management of our Hall of Residence (Duchy House) and supporting our students with sourcing and securing accommodation in other Halls and the private sector. You will be responsible for ensuring Duchy House is managed efficiently to provide a positive residential experience for students. For the summer period, you will be responsible for letting and manage the accommodation to commercial guests.,

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of Duchy House.
  • Managing the entire student accommodation application process and allocations.
  • Reviewing and keeping Accommodation webpages, Handbooks and Licences up to date.
  • Liaising with other accommodation providers.
  • Providing general advice on student accommodation options.
  • Managing the commercial letting period to maximise occupancy and revenue.
  • Assisting with premises health and safety inspections.

    Good standard of spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with a wide variety of diverse people.
  • Experience in similar role and/or qualification in student housing or hospitality sector.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage workload and ability to think logically.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills and able to work to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the housing market in London and UUK Accommodation Code
  • Knowledge of marketing principles regarding letting of accommodation.
  • A flexible, and a 'can-do' approach and able to work alone and in a small team including occasional evenings and weekends when required to support business needs.
