Full Job Description

This is an exciting role within Zurich Municipal to support our growth ambitions, helping to develop and maintain business relationships with a diverse range of customers. In this dynamic, sales-focused role, we expect you to support the Account Managers and Key Account Managers in providing excellent outcomes for our customers and develop and grow profitable relationships with a panel of your own customers too. You'll do this predominantly via the telephone, along with face-to-face visits where appropriate. This role requires a wide variety of skills and is perfect for someone who relishes a challenge and likes to be given the freedom and responsibility to go out there and make it happen. The role includes supporting customers across the UK with a mix of home, customer, and office working environments. Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need. What will you be doing? You can expect no two days to be the same. You'll be working with your team as well as interacting with the wider organisation and our customers daily. To ensure our customer's risk and insurance requirements are met, you'll be expected to interact with many different internal teams and colleagues including Risk, Claims, and Underwriting. You'll therefore be someone with great networking skills and can put the customers' needs first. In addition, you will be expected to support the Sales team in meeting financial, governance, and service targets. We need you to provide a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders and be responsible for delivering quality and timely solutions for them, exercising your judgment to ensure that we take on profitable risks in line with our strategy. This means taking ownership of your workload, supporting colleagues, and delivering for our customers., In this role, communication is key, as you will work with many functions to ensure customers experience our full proposition. It would help if you were comfortable making decisions using both data and your own judgment to provide the best outcomes for our company and our customers.

It doesn't matter if you have worked as an Account Handler before; what we really need is a willingness to learn and to contribute. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a customer-facing role who has dealt with both business and individual customers. Previous insurance experience would be great, but what we really need are your strengths and energy to come into play., We'd like you to be happy to challenge processes and decisions using your attention to detail. You'll naturally adapt your style to different workloads and pressures and be able to think on your feet. Last but not least, organisation and the ability to prioritise are really important, as our customers and good quality business are always foremost on our minds!
