Role Overview: To lead and own the relationship with our customers, using the EMCOR UK principles of Key Account Management. To ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of all contractual obligations and service provisions, whilst at the same time introducing business efficiencies through process improvements and innovation in order to deliver profitable financial results to EMCOR UK. Focus on building relationships with managers and clients across the UK is a key part of the role, as is the ability to hit the ground running. Good project and people management skills are essential. With a commercial focus, the Account Manager will proactively seek opportunities to grow the account through additional service lines, projects and account retention, with a mindset of continual promotion of EMCOR, and creating sustainable value to our customers This is a role with exciting scope for growth into an Account Director role for the right candidate. We look for people with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to fit into and take leadership of a fast-growing team. What you'll do:
- To prepare with the Account Director an annual business plan and budget for the contract portfolio, taking financial responsibility for the budget of the Five Peacehaven Schools, ensuring that all aspects of the budget are maintained, and financial targets and AP are achieved.
- To carry out regular monthly reviews of the P&L accountability, address any shortfalls; attend monthly financial review meetings with all previous month's actions completed. Take ownership and responsibility for the operational budgetary performance.
- To ensure that the contract is effectively resourced with a high calibre team that is capable of delivering the savings and improvements defined within the contract document and the agreed KPIs/SLAs within the agreed timescales.
- To ensure that the Account team and service partners understand their roles in delivering the contract objectives and establish systems processes and review mechanisms that demonstrate performance is being delivered in accordance with the Contract Management Plan
- To be the primary interface with the client at Executive level to ensure progress and performance is effectively communicated in the agreed format and to maintain open constructive dialogue at all times communicating any problems and resolving any problems that may arise in a constructive and timely manner.
- To drive the continuous improvement agenda & CI Plan across all aspects of the Contract. Delivering ongoing quantifiable service improvements and recommend service efficiencies.
- To ensure that directly employed staff understand their roles and receive appropriate training to develop their skills thereby maintaining a stable motivated workforce.
- To be accountable to the client and EMCOR UK for ensuring that all activities of EMCOR and their contractors comply with EMCOR Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures; and comply with all local national legislation. To ensure all activities carried out minimise the risk to staff, Client, employees/Children and the general public. Introduce and maintain an audit process that demonstrates compliance with all EMCOR UK and legal requirements.
- To maintain the EMCOR UK and or clients Business Continuity and contingency plans including out-of-hours emergency response call-out & escalation procedures etc. for the Peacehaven Schools to ensure EMCOR UK can continue to deliver all services to our client and can adequately support them in the event of an occurrence.
- To oversee the performance of ICT Services and to deliver strategic targets and objectives and the smooth delivery of the ICT strategy plan.
- To attend all contractual meetings, ensuring that all direct reports who are required to attend are prepared and have completed any previous actions.
- To produce Monthly and non-regular reports in a timely manner as required and annual responsibility to update the CMP; KAM Plan, & BCP; conduct an annual customer survey & performance bench marking exercise; annual appraisals for the staffing on the account.
- To identify elements for and prepare the yearly Life Cycle reports, liaising with the controlling (Life Cycle Fund) Manager.
- To oversee small project works, obtaining quotes for submitting estimates, carrying out and invoicing.
- Responsible for the contract & business growth, to create business opportunities to widen EMCOR UK's service delivery to local companies and business community.
Experience working closely with business development teams identifying and supporting operational solutions. - Knowledge and experience in Contract Management / Transformation / Mobilisation / De-mobilisation /Business Development within a complex TFM contracts.
- Familiarity of CAFM systems, including Help Desk, scheduling and auditing tools.
- Demonstrable operational leadership and ability to interface at executive levels, both internally and externally
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of program management methodologies.
- Able to utilise a blend of skills to accomplish the above; critical thinking, project management, change management, data analysis, facilitation, benchmarking and executive briefing.
- Experience in managing program management and process excellence functions.
- A sound understanding of current legislation, environmental and quality related issues
- Experience with Facilities Management performance management systems and metrics.
- Relevant operational management experience in delivering high quality Facilities Management Services within a diverse and geographically spread property portfolio, preferably within a multi sites school or education facility.
- Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) or a recognised Facilities Management qualification and P&L Management.
- Proven track record & a sound knowledge in Managing operational budgets in excess of £3 million.
- Good IT skills particularly including Word & Excel and Strategic ICT and applications.
- Knowledge of CAFM systems and Information management reporting.
- Excellent level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills and to be able to communicate politelyand effectively with the EMCOR team & Bam/ESCC.
- IOSH Managing Safely / IOSH SHE Responsibilities with FM or NEBOSH Certification.
- Ability to sustain effective and partnering relationship with EMCOR suppliers and Bam/ESCC
- HR knowledge & staff management experience / Change Management / Service Improvement.
- Ability to plan, organise and work independently.
