Management Accountant

Join our successful and growing Management Consultancy firm as a core member of the finance team, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

Key elements of the role include:

• Timely production of accurate monthly management accounts
• Preparation of detailed monthly reports for board meeting decision making including revenue, margin, YTD analysis, forecast, analysis of financial trends and a performance overview.
• Ensuring all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for, including expense claims
• Monthly payroll
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Cashflow reporting, monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Bank reconciliations and bank payments including occasional FOREX transactions
• Client invoicing
• Monitor project data entries and forecast project resource profiles, and maintain up to date profile entries using our internal project data system
• Assist with various sales bids in terms of finance related inputs
• Maintain various client registration bid and government portals
• Maintain central files for corporate including contracts, NDAs etc
• Direct report management of the Accounts Assistant

This role is office based in York, Hovingham

Qualifications:

·      As a minimum part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

Skills & Experience:

• Two years management accounting (is desirable however not necessary)
• Experience in a Professional Services environment is highly desirable
• Proven Excel skills and experience using PowerPoint and Power BI
• Experience with Sage 50 accounts and Sage 50 payroll.
• Familiarity with the Salesforce platform is a plus.
