Accountant (Mandarin Speaking)

We're looking for a dynamic qualified accountant for the Associate Accountant role in our London office. This role will be responsible for accurate accounting for the UK legal entity under FRS 101 and preparing and reporting US GAAP reporting package to the global reporting team based in Shanghai. The Associate Accountant will report to Chief Accounting Officer based in London and work very closely with the SEC Reporting Manager and other international finance team members in London, Germany, Sweden and China. The role offers great opportunity to develop skills within controllership and US GAAP reporting functions and visibility across global stakeholders. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office.,

• Review of monthly management accounts for UK and other international entities


• Complete ownership of the preparation of UK legal entity's statutory accounts under FRS 101 and managing complete audit process with external auditors


• Prepare monthly US GAAP adjustments for international entities


• Prepare audit deliverables and promptly address queries from external auditors for the Group's quarterly filings with the SEC


• Review and reconciliation of banking transactions and expenses;prepare cash flow forecasts for the international region


• Weekly review of POs, goods receipt notes, supplier invoices and payment runs for the UK entity to ensure the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the invoicing and payment process


• Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analyses as required by the central reporting team and FP&A


• Regular liaison with the accounting teams, business teams, FP&A, legal and tax


• Review key contracts to assess their impact on financial reporting


• Assisting the CAO in ad-hoc projects; technical accounting research and preparing accounting analyses/memos as required


• Assisting with finance related internal policy development and process improvement


• Keeping track of accounting developments under IFRS and US GAAP
  
  1-2 years PQE as a qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar


• Previous experience in similar role in industry or top tier accounting firms


• Strong communication skills

• Flexible team player with an orientation to finding solutions to new, complex accounting issues


• Mandarin language skills in order to coordinate with the global team, Experience of working in a technology startup, semiconductor company, automotive OEM or automotive technology provider


• Experience of working in multicultural, matrix environment
