Accountant - Spalding

Morrisons is recruiting for a Site Accountant at it's manufacturing site in Spalding. The role will provide critical support to our Manufacturing management team, providing on site daily results and process guidance driving change and improved profitability. The role will report into the meat division Finance manager providing up to date and accurate management information. This role will involve:

• Preparation of weekly P&L and detailed site weekly reporting.
• Business Partner Site GM and management team.
• Report Daily Cost and Yield information.
• Advise on best site practices and procedures.
• Providing insight and analysis on the performance drivers and cost drivers.
• Month End Journals and reconciliation to the weeklies
• Mentor and train the on site Assistant Accountant.
  
  A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent
• Knowledge of financial and management accounting
• Attention to detail
• An ability to deliver in a complex, fast paced environment
• Excellent analytical thinking and numerical skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google sheets skills
• Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way
• Resilience and ability to adapt in an ever changing environment
• Experience of stakeholder management
• Experience of having to prioritise to meet deadlines
  
  At our Spalding site in Lincolnshire, we cure bacon and supply our stores with over 190 meat products from beef brisket to pork loins and pork belly.
Our team of 780 colleagues also processes beef and pork for our Farmers Boy team to use in our pies, sausages and cooked meats.
