Accounting Technical Services - Senior Manager -I&S

We are looking to strengthen our Accounting TechnicalServices (ATS) team with talented and high performing individualsto support Forvis Mazars' significant growth. As a member of ATS,you will support Forvis Mazars' audit teams to provide technicalaccounting and corporate reporting support under IFRS and UK GAAP(including FRS 101 and FRS 102). As a member of ATS you are drivento provide high quality support tailored around ourclients. About therole As a member of the ATSteam, you will be part of a team that collaborates well tosuccessfully support our audit teams and clients within the UK.Your role and responsibilities will include:

• Addressing accounting and corporate reporting technicalqueries across a full breadth of accounting matters and sectorsacross all Industries & Services (I&S);
• Reviewing financial statements for quality and compliancewith IFRS and UK GAAP, including FRS 101 and FRS 102, ranging fromFTSE-listed organisations to international groups to large UKprivate businesses;
• Providing tailoredaccounting technical support to key audit clients, includingunderstanding the accounting issue, researching the applicablerequirements and providing tailored support to clients;
• Assisting with audit proposals;
• Coaching and supporting the development of junior teammembers; and
• Assisting with the preparation ofinternal and external technical publications and guidance for auditteams.
  
  We are looking torecruit talented and high performing individuals who have a passionfor technical accounting and corporate reporting, are proactive andlike to work in a fast-moving and interestingenvironment.
Your skills and experience will beas follows:
• Sound technicalunderstanding from completing your ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)accounting qualification and have robust technical accountingknowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 101 and FRS 102) and UK CompanyLaw.
• Experience with evaluating technicalissues, analysing facts, consulting and delivering solutions toaudit teams and/or clients.
• Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills, especially writing formal reasonedtechnical responses.
• Experience of writingtechnical publications and technical guidance will bebeneficial.
• Ability to prioritise and organisework, with strong attention to detail.
• Workwell with others in the team, maintaining high standards of qualityand demonstrating commitment to self-development.
• Experience of working at a senior manager level or abovein a professional services firm within a similar accountingtechnical role.
