Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust for a dedicated individual to join our Financial Services team as Assistant Accountant.
We are looking for someone who is reliable and flexible, and who demonstrates commitment to achieving both their own and the Trusts goals, whilst fully contributing to the team.
The successful applicant will provide support to the Accountancy function in the effective provision of Financial Services for the Trust., We are committed to development of our finance team, holding level 1 Future Focused Finance accreditation, and offer support for further training and professional development. The position will be hybrid working.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Ensure control accounts are accurately reconciled, covering payroll, debtor and creditor accounts.
Resolve queries from both internal departments and external organisations relating to the Statement of Financial Position.
Support in the provision of the lease car service of the Trust.
Provide support in the completion of the annual accounts.
Build relationships with Payroll, Finance Management, Procurement and across the organisation.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels and good organisational skills with a real commitment to excellent service delivery. You must be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy, able to prioritise workloads, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as under supervision.
Provides support to the Financial Services function in the effective provision of Financial Services for the Trust, including producing financial information in accordance with strict timetables, short deadlines and resolving queries.
