Full Job Description

Fusion's Accounts Assistants are a sticklers for the details. Not only do they have a sharp eye for detail, as an Accounts Assistant you won't be phased by processing high volumes of invoices and credit notes in accordance with policy. You will support the business by reconciling monthly supplier statements ensuring the Accounts Payable ledger is up to date and accurate, handle supplier queries in an efficient and effective manner, and you will challenge and guide centres in ensuring Accounts Payable compliance. Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients, and suppliers in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Invoice processing and allocation. (Purchase Ledger)
  • Raising invoices in a time-efficient manner.
  • Maintaining cash book entries
  • Completing bank reconciliation.
  • Processing credit card
  • Taking ownership of Credit control in line with finance policies.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects to enhance the efficiency of the department.
  • Providing cover for other finance teams when necessary.

  • You will have proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant (Purchase and Sales Ledger)
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent Communications skills, with an ability to convey financial information clearly
  • You will have experience of processing high volumes of transactions
  • You will have excellent Excel skills including vlook ups and pivot tables preferable.
  • An initiative- taking, tenacious individual able to consistently deliver service objectives, on time.
  • Uses time management techniques to plan and organize workload, managing peaks and troughs in workflow.
  • Completes tasks fully following through on the detail in a meaningful way.
  • Sets ambitious standards of performance for self.
  • You will be a collaborator with a strong 'can do attitude
  • Essential criteria:
  • GCSE in Math's and English or Functional Skills Level 2
  • Studying for the AAT (desirable but can be undertaken as an apprenticeship)
