Full Job Description

The Helpdesk team provides specialist first-line support for various aspects of the Cambridge University Financial System (CUFS), including areas such as: User Administration, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, iProcurement and Expenses as well as advising departments on best practice and ensuring that calls and enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner., Reporting to the Helpdesk and Cash Management Supervisor, you will provide support to the Accounts Receivable, Payable and Cash Management teams in various areas such as:

  • eInvoicing
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts
  • Liaising with departments regarding allocation of payments to the University
  • Preparation, verification, and reconciliation of International Payment
  • Any other administrative assistance required in these areas

    Strong abilities within processing accounting transactions
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel and working knowledge of Oracle Financials
  • Experience of dealing with complex reconciliations
  • Strengths of time management and attention to detail

  • Location The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 July 2027 in the first instance.
