Full Job Description

Invoice processing for purchase and sales ledgers.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes including foreign currency.

Control account reconciliations.

Bank reconciliations, including foreign currency.

Management of cash and credit card expenses.

Deal with account/billing queries from suppliers and customers.

Liaise with external accountant as required.

Ad hoc accounts related duties.

Assisting and supporting other departments where necessary.

Extensive use of our database software, which will be taught in-house.

Calculate and submit intercompany VAT returns.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Prepare and control prepayments and accruals.

Ensure accurate accounting for inter-company entries.

Calculating commissions for sales staff.

Input of journals for payroll.

Updating of fixed asset register.

The successful candidate will have experience working in an accounts/finance role and have gained all the relevant skills and qualifications as listed below., Experience working in an Accounts/Finance role, with a relevant qualification (preferably AAT Level 4).

Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

To be forward-thinking, flexible, and adaptable to respond to change and swift decision making.

Proactive, organised and motivated.

Experience of working with a mainstream accounting package such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Good knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

A good team player who is able to engage with other members of staff.

Ability to seek improved systems and processes of work.
