Accounts Payable Analyst

We're looking for you to join us as our Accounts Payable Analyst, reporting into our AP Manager. With your passion to utilise and analyse data, along with being attentive with the details, makes all the difference. You'll support the operational activities of Wincanton's Accounts Payable function by working with your AP Manager and outsourced AP provider to ensure our suppliers are paid in line with the Prompt Payment Code. Key Responsibilities: - Support the operational activities of the Accounts Payable function; supplier base of over 3,000 with responsibilities of ensuring supplier payments are made on a timely and accurate basis in our fast-pace environment. - Support the following functions: Invoice matching and automation, invoice query resolution, payments, supplier helpdesk queries and expense payments to colleagues. - Mitigate actions such as recovery of overpayments and resolution of legal escalations with suppliers. - Assist with the operation of the supplier helpdesk to
ensure high levels of satisfaction for its customers. - Assist with the AP elements of the month-end process such as direct debit payment and balance sheet reconciliations as required. - Provide cover for payments in the absence of the AP Manager and wider adhoc duties as required. - Adhoc duties as required.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail whilst remaining to deadlines. - Professional attitude and communication, with strength of character to resolve escalations. - A commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset. - Intermediate excel skills are required (i.e. vlookups and pivots). - Experience of Oracle Fusion is desirable. - AAT qualification/studier or equivalent preferred.
