Full Job Description

As an Accounts Payable (AP) professional at Equans, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software. You will work closely with various departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure expenditures are accurately recorded. Familiarity with UK accounting standards and VAT regulations is essential to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting, contributing to the financial stability and efficiency of the organisation.

As a member of our Shared Services team, you will have the ability to work flexibly from our brand-new office space at the Quorum Business Park for 2 days each week, with 3 days at home. What will you deliver?

  • Point of contact for procure to pay queries.

  • Invoice processing.

  • Supplier statement reconciliations.

  • Internal/external supplier queries.

  • Schedule and process payments.

  • Reconciliations and period end close activities.

  • Knowledge of CIS.

    Previous experience within Finance would be an advantage.

  • Problem solving, analytical and customer service skills.

  • Good planning and administration skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Have a thirst for learning with a positive attitude.

  • Embrace modern technology and ways of working.

  • Enjoy a challenge.

  • Able to work as part of a busy team, helping and supporting each other when needed.


  • This role includes a Basic DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.

    EQUANS is looking for an Accounts Payable Team Member to join our team based at Quorum Business Park, Newcastle or Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week.
