Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant looking for your next challenge? Have you worked in a fast-paced Finance function and loved it? Our Finance team in the East Midlands are growing, and we're currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Assistant to join them. About the team… Our Finance team have seen some amazing growth the last 2 years', helping them take charge of the increased information flow to an increased number of stakeholders and suppliers, after some phenomenal acquisitions. This role will aid in that vision to not just keep everything ticking away but to also bolster our finance processes, whilst Cooper Parry continues the acquisition journey. About the day to day… Reporting to the Head of Finance & Shared Services, this role will be crucial for raising sales invoices and sending to clients, responding to internal & external queries around invoicing / payments, investigating and chasing clients for payment of overdue invoices, and posting cash receipts to ensure the ledgers are accurate. You'll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;

  • Raising sales invoices, credit notes & refunds to clients when required
  • Deal with queries from both internal and external stakeholders relating all areas of accounts receivable
  • Support the Head of Finance Shared Services with reporting requirements
  • Ensuring that cash receipts, Direct Debits and refunds are actioned and posted accurately to the ledgers
  • Processing of monthly statements and issuing these to clients
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding overdue invoices
  • Post cash receipts onto the ledger
  • Work with the Head of Finance Shared Services to improve processes and find efficiencies, being an enthusiastic advocate for change

  • Strong technical knowledge of invoicing and credit control processes
  • Proven Accounts Receivable experience within a fast-paced finance function
