Full Job Description

The purpose of this post is to oversee the Accounts Receivable function and be responsible for the Finance Assistants supporting the role. This includes committed and professional line management of all team members as well as promoting positive communication within the team and providing daily support and guidance to ensure all objectives are being met. The post will also be responsible for specific reports and areas of work, and to assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as and when they arise. The role requires a high degree of communicating both internally and externally working with other departments within Orwell to ensure that consistently high standards of service are delivered., As part of this role, your key responsibilities will be to…

  • Manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable team ensuring all work priorities are covered and deadlines met.
  • Ensure the timely collection of Direct Debit payments from customers.
  • Review the monthly aged debtor reports and ensure appropriate credit control is being carried out to maximise income.
  • Investigate and progress any complex customer account issues, working through to bring about complete resolution to customer accounts.
  • Ensure that all income is raised in a timely manner.
  • Be pro-active with regards to improving and enhancing work processes where beneficial to ensure continuous improvement., 22 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays with opportunity to buy more

  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English Language
  • Working towards an AAT qualification or AAT qualified is desirable
  • Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18 - 24 months, Disability Confident
