35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. • Understanding of legal principles of own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas

• Ability to work effectively with others whilst also managing and taking responsibility for an individual case load., We have an opening for an Acquisition and Leveraged Finance lawyer. Experience gained within a top tier firm is preferred. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background with excellent written communication and drafting skills. The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills in acquisition and leveraged finance, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. The ideal candidate will have between five to seven years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience) and will have experience of managing an independent case load, supervising junior team members and working as part of a larger team.

Typical transactions would take the form of private equity sponsored management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions and public bids as well as refinancings and recapitalisations. The team regularly acts for direct lending funds as well as banks and recent lateral hires are likely to create more opportunities for sponsor side mandates.
