About the role Job Overview As Activities Co-Ordinator, you will schedule and coordinate events, create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage our residents. We require you to get feedback, manage employees, volunteers and resources, and deliver fun, safe events while on time and under budget., To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge. Work with marketing to put together newsletters keeping all our residents and their relatives/friends informed of what is going on. Support our residents to access internet and communication such as letter writing, Skype, and FaceTime. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of our residents we support. Develop effective working relationships with other employees, residents, relatives and friends. Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for the residents in our care. You should recognise the importance of effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team, with Service Users and their families/friends, whilst recognising people's needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly. You will need to be able to adapt and address situations quickly. Plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and well-being, whilst recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection. Build rapport with our residents by establishing personal connections and showing interest in their lives. To greet visitors and show prospective residents and families our facilities as required. Ability to induct and orientate new employees to the job role and service. Maintain all records in accordance with We Care Group policy and audit care records following company policy to ensure compliance. Complete mandatory training required to complete the duties required for your Job Role Profile Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management.
